Sometimes my life gets busy. Busy with things that aren’t necessarily important, in the big scheme of things. I often struggle with prioritizing what is productive and what is not.
It is only when I really sit down and examine my vulnerability that I see how fragile and how short life really is, and that makes me anxious.
I’ll give you an example of what i’m talking about. I HATE flying. And i’ve been having to do it recently, much to my dismay. I am so terrified of the plane crashing or some freak occurrence causing the plane and everyone in it to just fall from the sky. I’m sure that fear is extremely irrational (in fact I know it is,) but it brings up a very good point about how fragile we all truly are.
Although we are more likely to get killed by a Hippo than we are in a plane crash, we are not promised any of our days here on earth. I’m thinking we should make the most out of every single one of them.
That is a cliche in itself, and many have spoken that into existence before I ever even came along, however there is definite truth and wisdom to that saying.
Now while this fact shouldn’t scare you, it should motivate you. It definitely motivates me. It causes me to consider what is truly important, and what is not.
To live out our truth is vital, it’s important, and you should make time to do it every day. Everyone will have a different example of what they find most important and most fulfilling, but regardless of what it is, be sure to make time for it. You only get one life, and it’s crucial to not waste even a minute of it.
We are all busy, sometimes with things that are crucial, and sometimes we are just busily filling voids in our lives to trick us into thinking we are being productive. Take some time to be with yourself, be honest with what you want and where you think you are currently at in regards to getting what you want. It is only when you take the time to examine your life and where it’s going, that you will have any chance to make it everything you want it to be!
